Mastering your Canon camera - JPEG shooting

November 4, 2013

There are many aspects of a Canon DSLR camera that pertain only to JPEG shooting. The benefit of this is that if you shoot RAW, (and I am a big fan of doing this) you can just ignore all of this.

Many people are unaware of which camera settings only affect JPEG conversion, so even for RAW shooters, this section will help clarify which things are safe to ignore.

Anything that has to do with sharpening, saturation, contrast, even white balance can be ignored when shooting raw.
