I did. I wondered how it would work given that it is not a bottleneck case, but they have it all figured out. You do have to clamp each piece of brass in a shell-holder thing that provides the reference.
The trimmed case shipped with the case holder came trimmed to 2.10 inches with very little visible chamfer. I had been trimming to 2.095, which is the "trim to" length in the Lyman handbook. With the Giraud, I will no doubt trim each time. 2.105 is the max length.
Turning the shell holder one index mark (1/8 turn) is 0.009 inches.
I set the trimmer to give me 2.096.
I use my 6.8 SPC trimmer head, figuring that I will perhaps never reload 6.8 SPC ever again.
Given the extra diameter of .45 case mouths, it pays to feed the cases into the trimmer slowly and with attention as it will grab cases and cause trouble if you just jam them in.
Any cases with bent mouths or dings will need to be repaired before being trimmed.
