FPGA - Zedboard
I made an offer of $220 for one of these on Ebay and got it on May 9, 2022.
It was used and when unpacked there was a strong smell of burned chips!
It seems to work fine though, and a careful examination reveals no damage.
Touching every chip after it has been powered on a while reveals nothing
getting hot. So it is a source of concern, but doesn't seem like reason
to return the item. The only testing I have done is to boot the image on
the SD card, which does boot and run linux just fine.
Now in April of 2024, the price has jumped up to $590 both direct from Digilent and
from other sellers like Amazon
