Fedora 32 -- VNC, pcscd bug

This pops up when you try to start a browser (firefox or chrome) in a VNC session. Or it may just pop up for no apparent reason in a remote session.

You get a popup with the message: 

Authentication is required to access the PC/SC daemon
This has been a pending bug since Fedora 27 at least. This bugzilla describes the following workaround: 
systemctl stop pcscd.socket
systemctl disable pcscd.socket
systemctl stop pcscd
systemctl disable pcscd.service
systemctl stop pcscd.service
After this "systemctl status pcscd.service" shows it as "inactive (dead)". And now there is no trouble starting chrome.
